Sometimes I get those moments where I want to sing, "fuck you, and fuck her too." (You know what song I'm talking about... hopefully). Anyways, I want to sing out those lyrics but then I look around and see the life I've been given and see how truly blessed I am. I have no time to waste singing "fuck you" to my girl.
Positive outlook. Gotta keep it.
This past weekend was the entire company's (minus the 6 year old's) first competition of the year. It was amazing. I won overall senior solo, which I was NOT expecting at all. There were 55 other soloist who were all so breath-taking to watch. The grace and talent was so astounding I forgot we were competing against one another, it was beautiful. Someone came up to me afterwards and said, "Congrats! Were you expecting it?". I was taken back and said to her, "I never expect it."
The minute you think and expect you have something, you've lost it. If you're fearless and courageous and throw it all out there, you can do anything. If you expect something to be given to you by default or assume you're the cream of the crop, you become nothing and grow empty. So no, I will never expect it.
By the way, Happy March!!
from that dancer guy to you,
Tony
